Beauty DIY: Rice Paper Face Mask

Hey, everyone!Sooo this summer I've been really obsessed with taking care of my skin and I've had so much time to experiment with a lot of skincare products. (To be honest, maybe I should have focused more on studying for the SAT instead...) But I found out how to make these super cool rice paper face masks and, bless, they have been saving my precious skin from the heat and damage of the blazing, hot star in the sky.
These rice masks are used to help brighten your skin, moisturize your skin, smooth out blemishes, and decreases wrinkles. You can read more about the benefits of rice products here. These masks really help and they are pretty easy to make so here's how to make them:

    • Edible Rice Paper (Like the ones used to make Vietnamese spring rolls. You can find some at any Asian market or buy them on Amazon)
    • A plate or bowl
    • Milk or rice water or any tea (Like the water used to rinse your rice before you cook it.)

    Step 1

    How to make:

    1. Take your rice paper and cut it in a way to fit your face. There's no certain way to cut it; you can cut it the way I did, or you can just cut rectangles. Please don't just put the whole circle on your face though, because I've done it and you can't breath and it's just miserable. FYI: the rice paper is also difficult to cut because it breaks easily and you have to be really careful.

How I Packed for Spring Break in England and Scotland

Okay, hey, everyone!  Recently, on my spring break vacation, the local youth symphony took the members (like me~) to preform in England and Scotland over 10 days. This was actually my first time leaving the country and I actually had no idea on what and how to pack for an airplane trip.  So now, it's almost a month after the trip and I am now a pro at pleasing the NSA and I can now teach you guys how to also please the NSA. (Please keep in mind that I'm packing to preform over in England/Scotland as well, so some things I packed might not be needed for you. And I'm not sure if this packing style is legal in other countries because I flew from the US to England/Scotland so make sure to do proper research yourself!)
Okay, so this is the mess I'm bring overseas. Let's get started on packing!

First, here is my super cute toiletries bag (I found it for $1.50 at a yard sale)~ The symphony chaperons recommended that we use the 3-1-1 rule (which is basically states only having 3.4 ounce bottles in 1 quart-sized bag (just shove as many bottles as you can in that bag) with only one bag per flyer) and we could transfer our toiletries into another bag after the flight.
I didn't want to bother with wearing/bringing makeup so I didn't bring any products. This face wants to be free and in the nude.  But what I managed to fit in my quart-sized bag was:
I wish that I didn't bring shampoo and conditioner because we stayed at 7 different hotels and each had its own shampoo and conditioner (which I ended up taking home because it was free). Other than that, everything lasted me and I actually used all of the items rather them not be used and take up space in my suitcase. Tip: it was incredibly windy and rainy and misty so the weather chapped my face and lips a lot, so make sure to bring moisturizer.

    My Birthday!

Hey, everyone!  Sorry for posting for a while, but I mean, Spring Break happened and my local youth symphony group went to England and I had a Forensics State competition and I failed a math test...  Anyway, yesterday, May 12 was my birthday and now I am 15 years old!  Thank you to everyone for all the birthday gifts and wishes; I appreciate all of them and they made my year!

Started out my day with a new Anne Klein watch from my mother and some cute nails from Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in "Polka Party."

A cute little shot featuring the garden with my holographic shoes from JCPennies.

A cute little family photo with me and my bro. Look at this pie. It's chocolate.

    Happy π Day~

Hello, everyone~And happy π day~ Because I'm a super smarticle-particle nerd, I take my π day very seriously.  If you have no idea what this means and very confused and maybe had to copy and paste π in Google, this π (also pronounced/seen as "pi") symbol is basically a math ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. But the number is actually irrational (or can't be expressed with a fraction) and its decimals have no pattern or end, so it's usually rounded to 3.14159. And the π symbol just represents that number. (Maybe read more on Wikipedia's article on Pi.)
You've probably seen it while learning Algebra/Geometry and maybe your school held a contest to see who can memorize the most numbers of π. But if you never understood where it came from, here's a cool gif:
But why is there a day for π? Well, today is March 14, which can also be written as 3/14, and π is 3.14, sooooooooo today is π day~ (Also Albert Einstein's birthday~) But today, π day is extra special because the year is 2015, so it's 3/14/15 and π is 3.1415~ By the way, make sure to countdown until 9:26:53 tonight because π's additional decimals are 3.141592653~ It's the π day of the century!

    SacAnime Winter 2015 (Part 2)

I'm in the process of transferring all my cool Tumblr posts to this blog now, so some of the posts might be a little old/late...
So if you haven't my first part of my first SacAnime journey, please go read it~ (Well, you don't really have to, it's weird. The second part is better, but there's less photos.)
Anyway, on Saturday, we decided to wake up at 6:30 in the morning to get ready~ (I ended up accidentally waking up at 3:00 and couldn't go back to sleep because I'm a good morning person
image) And as a tip, don't leave your Styrofoam wig head(s) next to the window because you will think it's an actually person and get scared at night/early morning.

Thanks to my friends not being morning people and taking forever on their makeup, we ended up talking almost 3 hours to get out of the hotel. That day, we were going as our group Borderlands cosplay with my friend PotatoVampire as Maya, Jess as Gaige, their mom as Mad Moxxi, and me as Tiny Tina again.

    SheInside Mini-Haul and Review

Hello, everyone~ Hope you've had a great day so far~
I recently managed to save up enough bonus points on Sheinside.com, bought two items, and wanted to create my first haul and review for everyone. I'm not even sure if this is worthy to be called a haul...

Anyways, to tell you about one of the greatest online shops for female fashion, Sheinside is a store with a great variety of clothing/jewelry, inexpensive choices, new daily items, and they are always up on the latest fashion trends. I did a review some time ago on my Tumblr on a backless sweater I won on Sheinside's Free Trial Center with some more detail on Sheinside's customer service, packaging, etc.

Bought were packaged nicely in some plastic bags, but the wing tie-clips were pretty sharp and they made a tiny rip its bag. It's no big deal, though, but it surprised me.
